Draw

The Draw tools enable the user to sketch points, lines, polygons, and text as graphics on top of the map. Each sketch option has a set of properties (color, size, etc.) that can be modified prior to placement. The sketches stay on the map when the map or layout gets exported. It is important to note that sketches are temporary graphic elements, not permanent features within the map; They do not persist after the map is closed. Access the Draw tools by clicking on the Tools panel, selecting Draw and then choose the type of graphic to be drawn: Point, Line, Area (polygon) or Text.

The configuration options presented change based on the chosen graphic type.
